Farewell Grandpa Udall

On Tuesday we lost our sweet Grandpa Udall after a battle with pneumonia. It was all very sudden, just a few weeks ago he contracted pneumonia, then he went into heart failure, his lung collapsed and his sweet wife called him home. You might remember Grandma Udall passed just 7 months ago. Grandpa hasn't been the same since. He has been depressed and lonely and just not himself. We are so grateful for the plan and for the knowledge that we have and that they are together forever.

Some of my favorite memoires of grandpa.
*He always made you feel special. He would grab your arm and say, "You're alright."
*He had a nickname for everyone....I was L.B. That stands for Leah Beah
*He would always make me sing "Rejoice rejoice" from the messiah. And giggle afterwards.
*He was such a righteous example. He has been a bishop, stake president, mission president and a temple president.
* He loved having fun things for us grandkids to do. Riding the train, or the cable car, both of which he made. He took us on an adventure to the jungle and chopped down the brush with a macheti.
*I loved hearing him give talks. He would do the cutest laugh/cry to try to hide his emotions.
* He loved grandma... Ever since my grandma's death he would take anyone that came over and tell them that this was his most prized possesion. He would talk on and on about how well she looked in this picture.
* I lived next door to him for some of my growing up life. I would go over and talk about the trials of my life. He always had such great sound advice. Always loving and never pushy.
* He married me and my sweetheart....was a special experiance it was to be sealed by your grandpa.
We will miss him dearly but are so glad he is not in pain anymore.

Services for Kenyon Udall will be this Saturday at 2 pm at the Thatcher Stake Center with a vewing at 1 as well as a viewing Friday night.

My O.b. gave me the go ahead! YEAH! I am so looking foward to being there. If you didn't get the message my baby shower has been moved to the next Sat. the 28th at 10am.

What I woke up to this morning.....

I think I might have married the best man in the world.
I have been having a hard times these past few weeks at the end of this pregnancy. I feel like I am on an emotional roller coaster. My sweet hubby is so thoughtful, kind and dear to me. I love him.
I got a new shirt for my baby shower and got some Dr. Pepper and Mcdonalds french fries....yum!
Only 1 more month to go until I have some new babies to love on...and hopefully start feeling more like myself again.

Good Behavior...and other news

Ever since the girls turned 3 their behavior has been hard to say the least. The tantrums, the "No's" and the disobeying is really trying on my pregnancy nerves. I think 3 might be harder than 2....what do you think? They want to do everything themselves and want to have a say in everything that goes on. I felt like all I was doing was threatning and bribing all day long. So for FHE last week we had a lesson on Obedience and then made a chart. Anytime I feel like they are being kind, quick to obey or share they get a sticker. When they fill up a section they get a prize. This is them after their first prize...we have a prize basket that they can choose from.
I love that I am looking for the positive all day instead of yelling and screaming.

Preggo news...
I don't sleep well
I have a cold right now
32 weeks but measuring 45 cm....can we say big? I was 51cm when I delivered the girls
2 doctors visits a week, boys are now both head down
My hips ache most of the day
Cranky, bossy, and such a joy to be around....

(Sorry for the vent)
I am so excited to meet these little guys though. Top names right now are
Evan, Rhett, & Clark

What are you favs?

Handy Dougy.....home improvements

Anyone ever seen the Disney Show "Handy Manny?" Well that is what we have had in our house this past week. Our own handyman Doug. He is just so wonderful. First of all he puts up with me and my crabiness, cleans, cooks, and does all the home improvements I ask. He really is one of a kind.
This week he built some shelves in the girls closet. These go back really deep on the sides for lots of storage. Now we just have to buy some bins and the dresser can be used for the boys!

Next the boys bedding came in....
And I love it! And I love the price too....$50 each and they shipped it to my Walmart. I love the colors and patterns...fun!

Once the bedding came Doug decided to paint the boys room. I told him I thought diamonds and a stripe would be cool and this is what he came up with.

And it only took him a few hours....the lines are super nice too. Just a few touchups and put the crib in there and the boys room is done!

Lastly I ordered this 16x20 of the girls...my favorite picture. I had it mounted on styrene board so it is sturdy, but I needed a frame. So doug builds me one. Out of baseboard....could he get any better?

Just had to share my happiness!
Oh and it was too good to be true. The night after I posted about the girls sleeping so well, they figured out that they could get out. But instead of coming out of the room, they just stay in there and play. All the blankets, toys, dressups where in there beds and they were having a good ol time at 10pm the other night. And then again at 5 am. They mostly play when they are super tired because they have napped. So we just have a nap every other day and put up with the late nights. But they sleep in good in the morning so I can't complain too much.

Too good to be true.....

Our 3rd night in big girl beds.

No one has climbed out in the night.

I have to go in at 8:30 to wake them up.

They both napped in them today for 2 hours.

WOW! Who thought it would be this easy?

Knock on wood...I hope this continues.....

more birthday fun

Sunday night we had family and some friends over for cake, ice cream, and opening presents. When I asked them what they wanted for their b-days, they would say "A pink cake!" "A blue cake" These are their favorite colors...A loves pink, O loves blue. So that's what we did. And their AWESOME Aunt Alli bought them the cutest blue and pink outfits for their b-day...aren't they adorable? She also made them their cute bows...we love them...thanks Allison!

They were very gracious hosts too. A kept telling everyone, "Happy birthday to you!" They are so sweet and friendly. I love these kiddos.

Oh and don't you think it's about time I changed my background? I have had the same one for like 2 years!! This new one is from Delightful dots....top right hand conrner....

Happy 3rd Birthday Audree and Olivia

Today My girls turned 3!! Where did the time go? Doug took the day off and we spent the day with our girls. We had a nice quiet morning filled with cartoons and fruit loop necklaces. Here are the girls in front of their bedroom door. They loved the decorations.

We got them ready and had them open some presents....what fun! They love these bouncy balls and some new movies. We then went to Crackers for lunch and then onto Scottsdale Train park.

The girls loved chasing the birds.

Riding the train....they have so many cool parks there.

Waving to the crowd....

A little zooming in close.....

Onto the Ice Cream parlor....yummo! The girls had bubble gum flavor for the first time.

Riding the carosel.

Sweet Audree....I love your gentle way. You are such a cuddle bug. I love how excited you are for the simple things in life. I love your high pitched voice and how you love to dress up. You are so special to me....I love you!

Cute Livvy.....I love your spunk. I love the questions that you come up with. I love how aware you are of the world. I love your friendliness and your laughter. I even love your mishcheveouness!(sp) My life would not be the same without you in it. I love you!

I am so blessed....what cutie patooties! Happy Birthday girls!

Prince Derrick and Princess Odette

Anyone remember the movie "Swan Princess?" By Lex De Azdevedo and the guys who made the church videos?
I used to watch it when I was little and found a copy on Dvd for the girls. They love it of course.

One day the girls came out dressed up holding hands saying that they were Prince Derrick and Princess Odette.....I couldn't resist taking a pic....aren't they cute!
Don't you love O in her panties and cowboy boots?

Get-a-way...well sort of

This past weekend my sweetie and I took a trip up to Bison Ranch in Heber for one last get-a-way before our babies come. It was fun to be alone and together, but I was super uncomfortable on the drive, didn't sleep at all in the bed, and wasn't very much fun to be around. We had a good time being in the snow and eating at yummy local places like June's Diner and The Red Onion. We had 2 nights there but ending up driving home the next day because I wanted my own bed....bummer huh. I guess that's what I get for going on a trip 7 months preggo.
I did get some new fat comfy pants while we were there to last me the rest of the pregnancy and we saw "Benjamin Button" which was good. So the trip wasn't a total loss. And we got to be alone and talk about what is in store for us....here are the 2 pics I took while we were up there....

No makeup-only 4 hours of sleep can you tell?

I ordered bedding #2 because I liked the colors the most and it was the cheapest....only $58...sweet! They are shipping it to my local Walmart too...nice.

And I went to the doc and got another ultrasound today. Everything looks great. Better than great. The babies are measuring at 30 weeks ( I am 28) which is abnormal for twins. The ultrasound showed that they were around 3 lbs 4 oz and 3 lbs 6 oz. YAY! I guess my body was made for this...Heavenly Father must know what he is doing!
Oh and I am on official moderated bed rest now. Nothing too crazy just taking it easy.....come and see me if you want!

Thanks for reading everyone!

Christmas 2008

Here is my christmas post....somewhat late. We spent almost a full week in Thatcher and had a great time. My mom set up a tall bed for me so I wouldn't have to get on and off the floor. Thanks mom! I accutally slept pretty good there. Doug went hunting a few times, we went to the snow, out to eat, to the movies, played games and loved being with our family. It was a great vacation.

Here are the girlies at our ward Christmas party a few days before....breakfast with Santa.

Oh and Santa came to my mom's house on Christmas Eve....fun huh!

Here they are Christmas morning. They loved opening their presents, helping others open their presents and handing out presents. It was fun to watch their sweet faces.

We didn't start opening until 8:30....it was nice. And of course Audree had to put on a dress up. Here is a skirt that my mom made.

Here is their loot. B/c they got the swing set they only got a few things. Games, movies puzzles, crafts and dress-ups. What more could a girl want.

Here we are at the mountains with our cousins. It was very slippery and we couldn't drive up to far. But the kiddos didn't care, Olivia licked the snow the ENTIRE time. Audree just played and played.

Thanks for the opionins on the bedding everyone...I am thinking 1 or 2.... I'll see which one is cheaper.

Opinions Please!!

Just trying to decide what I want the boys room to look like. I need to get going on this! Just 10 weeks left! I have found 4 cheap/cute beddings that I liked online but I can't decide which one I like the best. Some are pretty similar....what do you all think?
