I'd rather be at the dentist

Well almost....
At the end of the day, when I am by myself, bathing all the kiddos is a chore.

We now bathe the girls in our bath and the boys in the guest bath because bathing them together is almost as bad as going to the dentist
( I went after 6 years of not going....ouch....7 cavities, one Crown and $2000 later)
I learned my lesson

Just like bathing my kiddos.
Sometimes we alternate nights...boys on Mon...girls on Tues.
Or we split them up.

They sure look cute though right?

P.S. My new camera is awesome...these were taken at 2500 ISO....heck yeah....
P.S.S. I have a cold and I am so grateful to my sweet husband for taking the kiddos out so much and being so helpful and kind...

Audree and Olivia turn 5!!!!

We had a lovely family backyard barbecue birthday party on Saturday, for our sweet 5 year old girls....I just can't believe it! These little sweeties have been my life for the past 5 years and are turning into such sweet lovely ladies. Here are my sweeties at 7 months...look at those chubby-bubbies....

And here they are in the hospital right after they were born....I am so in love....

Onto the party....hamburgers and hotdogs, hit the spot!! Doug is an amazing grillmaster!

This year the girls wanted a "Bunny" party...and wanted a Bunny cake and wanted to eat Bunny as well....that's right...eat bunny.  A few months ago..... Doug came home with a Cottontail rabbit and cooked it for dinner...the girls were in heaven..."This tastes so yummy dad!" I was gagging in the corner...
Doug was going to go hunting and get some bunny for the party but I said NO!!

While we were looking at cake designs online...Olivia saw a castle cake and wanted one. So...I wanted to give them their own cake on their own day...so 2 cakes it is!

She said to me, "Mom the cake looks perfect, but she just needs a bow!" I think you are right Audree...

Onto the presents....our family is so sweet and spoiled our little ladies!

A few weeks ago at the zoo the girls were playing Superhero...It sparked an idea...and my sister helped me make these cute capes for them. Thanks so much Amanda! They turned out so cute~

Some fun masks from Grandma....ohhh la la! And beautiful necklaces from Aunt Allie!!

Later that night we took the girls to Supercross....they did really well the first hour, but like their mother got a little bored. I wanted Stunts and wrecks....this was just racing around the track...We had a great time with some of Doug's family and made a fun memory!
I felt a little out of place in my cardigan...there we some...shall we say Interesting looking outfits there...way to give our girls a cultural experience right?

Happy Birthday little ladies!! 5 Year old pictures coming soon!

Before I forget

I am feeling nostalgic this week...the girls turn 5 on Sunday...and I cannot believe it. I know every Mother says this, but doesn't it feel like I just had them? It is so vivid in my memory....just like yesterday.
So before I wanted forget, I wanted write down parts about our day that I don't want to forget.
Olivia likes to look at the Book of Mormon(for kids)....also the gospel art kit pictures. I caught her the other day just looking at the New Testament for kids and had to snap a picture.  She has a sweet testimony already and I hope it stays strong...which is good because she has turned into such a Sass-a-Frass these days....

Audree is such a sweet tenderhearted girl. She likes to go off and build pillow forts and have a moment alone in them. Who can blame her? I want to go crawl into a pillow fort sometimes...
She also calls herself the "Little Nurse" She is very helpful and kind and when one of the kids gets bonked or hurt she will go and get them a drink or a teddy...
She often asks "I would like to help Mom,"
Today Doug was putting together their new bunkbed in the girls room. He asked them to go and play so he could work and she replied "Dad I know what I could do! A show always distracts me..."
Funny girl

You know we love dress-ups in our house...Almost everyday I turn on XM radio and we dance our hearts out. This day it was classical music with ballet moves....Lovely ladies for sure

Oh what is this? Did we get a dog? No....just dog sitting. And it has been H-E-A-V-E-N!!! Well except for stepping on the dog poop, and watching Grant kick and pull the dogs hairs....oh and don't forget the yelling..."Olivia it's Audree's turn to hold "Little Dog"
That's his name...little dog...or Balto...as Olivia likes to call him. She is our animal lover for sure and has sure made this dog her little baby.

He's cute huh....he is amazing with the kids...they let him carry him around, he doesn't bark and he gets excited when I come home. He follows me around after the kids go to bed and sleep in a box in our room....What? I am not a dog person, but it has been fun to see what it would be like to have a dog in the Davis home.

Little Clark is quite the character. He sings you are my Sunshine and yells your name when you walk in the room. He still loves to snuggle on my shoulder and just today I heard him count to ten. He cries allot sometimes but I sure do love his heart.
He wants to be a fix it man just like his Daddy. Anytime Doug has his tools out he wants to use them...

Lastly my little climber boy Grant....He pushes a chair over and climbs on the tramp by himself....and then when he wants to get down he screams for help. He has the sweetest little voice...he rambles on in the cutest little words..."Ah-doo-ca-ting..."  As he points to a snack that he wants. He is so easy going and tenderhearted but sure knows how to make mischief.
And I adore his little chubby cheeks. I kiss them all the time....and when he runs they jiggle....he has the cutest little run.
And he pulls the cutest faces...see.

A Perfect Christmas

Christmas in Thatcher was just about perfect. My favorite parts include....the magic of Christmas Eve and watching my kiddos get so excited about it all. Settlers of Katan...(Thanks Chris for introducing us to the game), Movies, sleeping in, spending time with our dear families, attending the Gila Valley Temple, bowling at the Safford Bowl, reading a book, participating in our own nativity, and taking a break from Motherhood...(not really, but my kiddos played well and were busy and happy the whole time!)
Oh and don't forget the SNOW!!
Here are the pictures of our favorite parts...

Our Christmas Eve letter to Santa....The girls told me what to write.

Gingerbread house making on Christmas Eve...also driving around looking at lights with the kiddos...

Whoo hoo Christmas morning was fun! We got the girls Plasma cars....but of course the brothers think they are theirs.

Dreams come true....A and O have been asking for pillow pets FOREVER!! Both Great Grandma Hogan and Grammie Liza bought them their own...so our house has 4 lovely pillow pets.

They liked looking through their stockings....O was excited about her snow globe.

Clark and Grant got a tool set which was a hit!! They love working just like Daddy...

They also got a train set...another boy toy hit!

The Sunday after Christmas we had our first annual Brooks Udall Family Nativity. My awesome cute adorable mom(on the left)
has spent all year gathering material and hand making all of our costumes.

I am so happy that she started this tradition and that we have the chance to teach our children about the true meaning of Christmas. Click on this to see more detail....she spent hours on the costumes.

My personal favorite the little sheep. Could you just die!!! I love the little ears...we had to bribe them with marshmallows for the picture.

Three beautiful Angels and one Shining Star....(Why does Janiel get to be the star?)(Inside Joke)

Here are the gifts to the baby Jesus...dont' know how that binky got in there....but Baby Jesus needs a binky right?

Another favorite present was our Jammies!! I had jammies just like this when I was a little girl...My mom couldn't resist and had to buy her little girls a pair....

Right before we came home we got blessed with SNOW! The mountains around the Gila Valley we covered with white and we couldn't believe that it came down to us!! It only lasted about 30 minutes, but the girls were SOOO excited to have snow to play in...

It was a wonderful Christmas and we have so much to be thankful for. It was really hard to come back to reality, but onto a new year with new goals, and new resolutions.
