Week in Thatcher

The girls and I had a great time in Thatcher with the Grandma's. Doug got his Elk...(YIPPEE) and was able to come and be with us from Wed-Fri. We stayed in town because I had already planned some photos shoots. (Check out the photoblog in a few weeks for some awesome Thatcher families at the coolest location.)

Dressing up and playing with G-ma's toys....

The girls watched "MULAN" like 40 times on this trip so the sword fighting was a must....

A get together with some H.S. friends...I love these girls! Next time no kids though...we hardly got to chat with all our babies running around...and with Grandma Carpenter telling everyone what to do.

Here is how they entertained themselves at the end....sliding down the stairs...

Me, Rebekah(Mother of 4) & Celissa(Mother of 3 almost 4) Can you believe these awesome gals?

We also went to the Fairgrounds to feed the ducks and have a picnic lunchables lunch (didn't bring my camera)...I need to take more pics when I am there....

One more story...Olivia climbs out of her crib (We have a crib tent at home...we probably should transition to big kid beds...)
She climbed out at 4 in the morning walked around the pitch black house and came upstairs to where Doug and I were sleeping. Scary! I'm just glad she didn't get hurt!

When the husband's away....the girls will play!

We are going on Day 4 with no Daddy in the house and things are going pretty good. I am tired but we have been having fun! Day 1 Livvy came down with the stomach bug....ugh! Thankfully it was 24 hours and she was better on Friday. Here are the girls ony Friday fingerpainting....FUN HUH! We don't do this very often so it was a real treat for them.

On Sat. we went to the Zoo with the cousins and it was hot! But we were only there a little while and then that evening was my nephew Colin's 1st b-day party. I wish I had some pics of that...he is so cute!

Off to spend some time with Grandma in Thatcher tomorrow while we wait for doug to come home....thanks for reading!

Big Girls...Try to get Potty Trained.....

My Sister in law Ali reminded me that I only have 5 months to get these girls out of diapers before the next one comes. So....it is the time for the dreaded potty training. They have been ready for awhile, but I haven't been. We have been trying for a week and as long as I remind them to go every 30min to 1 hour or so they go no problem. If they get distracted they have accidents. And we tried to potty train at my sister-in-laws house the other day....there were many accidents.
Someone who has done this before tell me what to do? Are there any books I should read? Any awesome tips that anyone has? HELP a PREGO girl out!

Here are the girls playing in a box.....didn't we all do this? This is from my new dishwasher....exciting huh!! And I also got a new microwave that goes over the stove instead of on the counter.

A & O have been saying some cute things lately...O told me the other day that I was being REDICULOUS! HA!
And A told me that she was "Too sick" to put away her dress ups......nice one.....they sure grow up quick!

Day Four- California Adventure!

So after our super long fun day at Disney, we decided to go California adventure with the girlies. They of course were up at 7:30 that morning( they went to bed at 10:30 YIKES!) but we went anyway! There isn't nearly as much to do for little ones here as there is at Disneyland but we wanted to check it out anyway. They had a cute Bugs Life area with Bumper Cars, spinning cups and a slow roller coaster.

We then went and rode that big Ferris Wheel (can't remember the name) and your cage rocks around while you are in the air. I was a little freaked out on this one and kept sceaming at Doug to hold onto Audree.

Here we are on the Carousel...Olivia has to ride the Blue of everything...it's her fav color these days....and we rode the new Toy Story ride which was really fun too...but I don't have pics of that.

We went and watched Mickey Mouse Club house show which they loved and we saw Minnie right after. Audree about knocked her down by kissing her so hard though...

By 2 pm we were done...and they were done......Did I mention that they never napped? My girls still nap at least 2 hours a day...and we had 5 STRAIGHT DAYS WITH NO NAPS!! Let's just say we were all tired....

Farewell Disneyland.....what a fun family vacation we had! I almost need another vacation to recover from the one we had! PHEW!

Back to laundry, cleaning, starting to potty train and puking...yay I thought it was over too.....thanks for reading about our little trip everyone!

Day Three- DISNEYLAND!!!!

Here we are!! The day we have been waiting for! We got up and headed down there and were there before they opened. We went straight to Peter Pan, Dumbo, Alice in Wonderland, Storybook Ride then the tea cups.

Olivia's Favorite...she talked about this for days!

The park was busy but not too busy. We only waited about 10 minutes or so to get on each ride. It was Great! The girls didn't really get the concept of waiting in line.
We went to the Princess Faire and heard a story by Cinderella and then waited in Line for about 45 minutes to meet the princess's. And we met some good ones! Belle, Ariel & Snow White. The girls told them their names how old they were and what they like to do....look at their cute faces!

Onto Toon Town...they loved it there. We ate some lunch and rode their favortie ride of all....Gadget's Go Coaster! It was fast and bumpy but we went on it twice! Fun huh! We met Mickey too in this little room all by ourselves....fun!

We then went and rode the railroad, Autotopia, and Buzz Lightyear. Then onto see Pooh and Tarzan's House.
Click on this pic to make it bigger....these are their silly faces....

During the day we received special passes to stay at the park One hour after it closed. It was a promo for the "Year of a Million Dreams" So we were at D-land until 9:30 that night! YIKES! We loved going on our favorite rides again...Tea Cups, Dumbo, and we took the girls on the Matterhorn Bobsleds.....That might have been a mistake. They were tall enough but is was really fast, dark with abmonable snowman popping out everywhere....We hope we didn't tramatize them!

We let them pick out their own ears...they look so cute and Audree wore hers for the next 2 days!

Dancing to the music before the Parade starts....

PHEW! Thanks for reading only One more day!

Day Two- Balboa Park

We had a nice go with the flow day this day. We took our time getting up and getting ready and went to this Amazing park in San Diego. There were museums, grass, and amazing old buildings. We went to a puppet show while we were there and there were Marionette's that were a little freaky. The girls got to make their own puppet afterwards...here we are on the grass having a little picnic...

Check out these buildings! There were so many beautiful spots here....if I lived in San Diego I would do all my shoots there...so awesome!

The girls liked the water and there was a Saxaphone player playing some tunes nearby so the girls were dancing.

We then went back to a 50's diner near our hotel. They threw tons of straws on the table ( which the girls loved) and at the end threw a pile of bazooka gum without us knowing. We got the girls a balloon animal and they got a "Monkey George" as they call it. (Curious George...their favorite cartoon)
