......Happy Anniversary......

Today is mine and Doug's 4 Year Anniversary. I wish I could figure out my dang scanner and share some wedding pics with you. Our wedding day was very sweet and special. Doug and I cried through the whole cermony. It was hot but I was so happy to finally be married to him! I have loved Doug since I was 16 and have always knew he would make a great husband. He really has changed my life and how I feel and think about myself. I am so grateful he is my eternal companion and that Heavenly Father blessed me with him. I wouldn't want anyone else as a husband. I love you sweet Dougie!

Here's what me and the girls did today.....met some friends at the mall for kids club, rode the carousel, and ate lunch at Cheesecake factory. I had a gift card so I went with my amazing sis-in-law Allison.

She is such a great person and has always made me feel welcome. We have come to love each other more the past few years b/c she moved just down the street from us and we see her all the time. Also she runs the office side of our business and let me tell you, we could not do this without her. She answers the phones all day, does the taxes, payroll and billing and everything in between. Thanks sweet Alli for all that you do!

And just because I love pictures here are some that I had on my computer of me and my Dougie.....

We are going to a hotel this weekend for a little getaway....I will share pictures when I get back!

Goodbye Binkies.....my beloved friend

Right before we left...they were so happy to have the binkie during the day....

For Family Home Evening last night we said goodbye to our beloved binkies. For almost 2 1/2 years our girls have slept every night and every nap with a binkie in their mouths. They have saved us from many sleepless nights and helped everyone enjoy church because we could put a binkie in to get them quiet. I have loved these little things and so have my girls. It has no gotten to the point where they don't want to give them up in the morning and they whine about them when they are sad during the day. And they are 2 1/2 right? We have to give them up sometime. I don't want them to think that they can steal their siblings binkies ( when we have another, no I am not preggo.) We have been wanting to give them up for a while but there was always something. Ok when they turn 1 we will take them away. No how about 2. Ok after vacation....now after girls camp. There was always something. They were just getting big and it was time. So we went to Dollar Tree and bought some ballons and tied the binkies to them and let them float away up high. This way they aren't mad at me or the trash or whatever.
At first they were a little hesistant. We had been talking it up for days and told them how big they were. They knew that they had to let them go but they were a little hesistant.

Here Doug is talking it up to them and telling them where they were going to go.

A few false starts...it probably took them about 10 minutes or so to let them go. My heart was a little sad...my babies are growing up!! And what will happen tonight when I try to put them to sleep!!

Can't give it up.....

And here goes Audree's....she was happy at first.....

Flying away...

And of course Olivia now wanted hers to fly away....

They were ok....saying "Bye Binkies" And waving...but look at sweet Audree....

And then the relization......my BINKIE!! She just started to cry....

We let them play on the playground for a few minutes and got them a ballon to take home too.

So how did they sleep?

I have SCREAMING pictures of both of them but I felt mean posting them. They both cried for about 15 minutes with us going in there to comfort them every so often. And finally doug went and held them both and tucked them in and not a peep after that!! SWEET!
However and 6:45 this morning they were both screaming ( they ussually sleep in until 7:30 or 8:00) I regreted my decision a little. What was the rush? Why did I do this? Guess I have to stick to my guns now.....Even though Audree almost wouldn't fall asleep today for naps....I am sadder than she is!
I hope I haven't ruined our perfect nap time...We will see...

We have had this conversation about 10 times today
A or O: "Where's my binkie?"
Me: Where did it go?
A or O: Up in the sky!
Me: Yep your a big girl now!!

Onto the next big girl thing....POTTY TRAINING!!

Girls Camp 2008.......{Sweet is the Work}

I got back from Camp this last Saturday renewed and rejuvenated....although a little sleepy. Sadly all of the pics I have are from the gym...but we were at Camp Shadow Pines by Heber. It was a beautiful and perfect week.

Here is the Parkwood Ward....the ward I am from. I served as the Stake Assistant Camp Director so I didn't get to work with the girls as much but got to plan/run the camp. It was a great experiance.

These are my sweet Activities gals. They put many hours in planning and preparing for the Wed. night Candyland game night and the Friday night Spritual night. Both nights we just awesome and Friday's program was filled with the spirit. We missed you Danielle! Jackie is in the middle she is dressed up as Queen Frostine anyone recognize the dress? And Shaylene painted the amazing backdrop that we used! Thanks girls!

Here are all of the Stake staffers...these woman are just awesome and we had the best time hootin and hollarin every night.

Thursday was hike day and skit night. All of the wards did a great job and the stake staff did the "Morman Rap" (Anyone remember that song?) I was the Tootsie roll call woman that night and just let my inner rapper out....I hope they let me come back next year! Don't you love the get-up....and my necklace says "BLING-BLING" Sweet!

In the middle is our Stake Camp Director Jena Bailey....truly inspired and made for this calling. She works so well with people and has the spirit with her.
Annalee is on the left and she is over YCL's she did an amazing job as well.

Friday was rotations and Spiritual Night and bishop's night. The night went great and the spirit was felt. That has been the greatest thing about this calling. I have never been in a calling where the spirit guided me so much. From calling who was supposed to be there to planning each activity for the girls, the spirit was there. Many prayers were said and all were answered. It has really strengthened my testimony that this is the Lord's work. He wants these girls to exeperiance this and be able to be away from the world. I am on a high even though my garage is still full and I am still tired. This week was a much for me as it was for the girls. There was just enough of everything at this camp. No fighting, not too much sickness, enough free time, ward time, enough fun and spiritual....it was a perfect week. I just love girls camp!!

Oh and thanks to my Mom, Amanda, and Allie for watching my girls. I couldn't have done it without you!! BTW Dougie had a great time with the girlies...he took them Fishing with their new barbie polls, he took them to Bass Pro Shop and to a Diamondbacks game and stayed for the fireworks....they can't stop talking about it. He is such a sweet daddy!

There's a new addition to the Davis house....and is sounds so sweet!

This is what I won from the lottery! My name was drawn from a hat for this paino that my Grandfather and Great Aunt's grew up playing!! This was bought in the 1920's by my Great-Grandmother for her daughters. It has been passed around a few houses and I am so grateful it is in ours! It plays just perfect and the girls loving singing, "I am a Child of God" and pounding the notes on it. On Sunday I played Church music and Doug said, "Will you promise to play every Sunday? I love hearing you sing."
I love having music in our home.....and it's just beautiful isn't it?

60 wonderful Years

This weekend we had the great opportunity to go to Thatcher for the weekend to see my grandparents while they celebrated their 60 wedding anniversary. We had a great time with all of the family that came.
We had a program at the church with lots of tears and songs. They are really an amazing example to me.
My mom and I picked out some material to make dresses for the girls...and she made some for them while we were there. These cute princess dresses. Here is our mother's day shot for her....just a little late. :)

Here are all of the girls singing....."I am Leona's Grandaughter, the spitting image of my mother and when the day is done, my grandpie's still me biggest fan, sometimes I'm clueless and I'm clumsy, but my cousins still love me, and they know just where I stand, It's all apart of me, and that's who I am." Remember that song from 10 years ago...?

My family is really so important to me and I love being around everyone. It's so great that we are so close.

Oh and stay tuned for a post about girls camp ( I leave on Wed....YIPEE!!)....and I won the lottery!!! You'll have to wait and see what I won!!

Enjoying the last days of spring

We had a nice cool breeze last night so we spent the evening outside. I just love being with my little ones when they are happy and sweet. Whenever they are outside they think they have to be naked. They love p;aying in the sprinklers and in the kiddie pool, but it was too cold. So we prented to sleep....

And I got out my camera to try this new thing. It's called AF Continuous and you hold it as you are shooting and you can click super fast.
I have had this picture in my head for a while. It didn't quite turn out, but I still love these... I wish I wouldn't have blown out the sky so you could see the blue with the clouds.

And of course we had to jump on our tramp....and I brought my camera along....doug said, "Remember how much it costs!!!"

He was home for about an hour until he had to go back to work. He has been working like 15 hour days and loving it. It's hard on me and the girls but it's only for a few short months.

I just love these pictures and want to remember these cute moments with no diapers, crusty dinner food on their faces, and having a great time in our dirty backyard!
