Begining of March

Some pictures of the goings on around here-

Doug took the kiddos camping one night bless his sweetheart. He really is so good to me and his kiddos. When they got home the boys hadn't napped and were tired from the night before...Grant was so overcome with himself and his desire to go out the front door- I left him alone with his tantrum and came back to find this...poor buddy...oh so cute.

The cute boys turned 3 this past Sunday!! YAY! (More on that later) I took them to the store and then them choose a big boy bike...they are in heaven riding around like their sisters.

The girls had a fun time dressing up for spirit week at school. Here they are on crazy hair/sock day-And I missed Olivia's student of the week poster...oops...here she is with her favorite fruit...watermelon.

We went to our good friends birthday party and the theme was 80's-aren't we RAD? My bangs were the best of the night...

And spring is here-with the orange blossoms sweet smell...This is such a great time of year. My morning sickness seems to have subsided and I'm feeling pretty good...14 weeks.
Also our chickens hatched their first eggs- then the boys promptly crushed them...whoops...but we have fresh eggs if any one wants some.

And- we got updated family pictures the other day...by my fabulous friend...I haven't seen them yet but I snapped this one with my camera...I can't wait!

Next post-Spring break VACAY!

Close Call

I have been weepy all day-I'm sure it has something to do with the hormones. I'm sure it has something to do with the fact that I puked for 10+hours yesterday and had a nasty headache too. I'm sure it has something to do with the wicked cold that is taking over my face. And I'm sure it had something to do with the fact that after I texted Doug and telling him I having a hard day- he came home from hunting.
Or could it be that I have had many yummy meals, so many sweet friends and my awesome sister taking the boys while I slept and recovered.
But why I am most weepy is because today I had a close call with my rowdy precious boys. These almost 3 year olds are balls of ENERGY! They go from sun up till sun down. This morning they wouldn't even watch a show , they were too busy wrestling and fighting. Being a twin is rough because someone is always stealing your toy, hitting you, trying to poke your eye out or chucking a toy across the room
A friend called with a question and I couldn't even talk to her-
I thought I am just going to put them in their room for a minute for a time out-just for 2 minutes...all you moms have been their right? I couldn't even carry on a conversation with her...
Well shortly after I heard a loud crash-I thought they must have pulled something out of their closet.
By the sound of their cries I ran quickly to the bedroom and to my horror they pulled their giant dresser down! I was mortified!!! They were both standing the door sobbing....the huge thing could have landed on them and hurt them or worse!!! Grant cut his face a little, and Clark got a bruise on his arm...I felt horrible! My mommy guilt was in full force...
I have been saying prayers of thanks all day, and this experience has been a huge wake up call that even though I'm not at my best all the time, the Lord still watches out for his children. I have been more patient all day and wanted to document this experience so I never forget how quickly things can change and I need to cherish each moment no matter how hard things are for me....

Valentines Post

We had a lovely Valentines day-No fancy breakfast or homemade cards-just simple and sweet. Doug bought the girls daisy's and me roses....how romantic.
An Oh-So-FABULOUS dinner at Sweet Tomatoes-early of course. 4:30-most of the restaurant was elderly
A fun family drive to watch planes-and see the progress on our temple.
This happened 2 weeks ago-but we had our first lost tooth! YAY!

And Audree was Student of the week-such an exciting time!
So yesterday we sent the girls to school without jackets-and it was raining and cold for valentines day. I talked to Doug about taking a jacket to school-but then the clouds cleared up-and we thought-they'll be ok.
After school I picked up the girls and said Olivia-were you cold at recess? She said "Yes, I was so cold I couldn't even play." I told her how sorry we were for forgetting her jacket and next time we would remind her to get one before we left. I asked her if she ran around to stay warm-she said,"No, I sat in the corner where the wind wasn't blowing and Audree snuggled with me to keep me warm."
My heart just melted. Sisterly love-
A perfect Day with all my favorite valentines.

Announcing....

The Dr. said to wait 2 months after the miscarriage-I was all geared up to wait a YEAR! I had just joined weight watchers and was going to work on ME! Well don't you know, Heavenly Father has other plans.
I was so afraid of having another miscarriage that we waited until we went to the Dr. to announce it. And I am capable of making one baby at a time? Who knew!
I am sooooo excited to have just one baby-I think another set of twins would have pushed me over the edge. 9 weeks and feeling okay-ish...

A Long Week-that ended well

It started with colds-
that turned into coughs-
Rattle your chest can't stop coughing
that turned into fevers-
That turned into missed days of school.
Meaning many many hours of Nick Jr. and Disney-
that turned into restless long cough filled nights
That turned into ear infections
Which means antibiotics.
Which means gatorade-and runny poop.

Which means- This MAMA and PAPA are TIRED!!! Will it end! They are getting better-but me oh my....

That sweet Dougie of mine texted me a sweet note on Thurs saying we had a hot exciting date. A break from our crazy life.... And that it was! He took me to a Chinese Acrobat Show...it was amazing, spectaluar, out of this world! Each act started strong and awesome and just got better and better! Well...
until we got the text from the best BABYSITTER IN THE WORLD! Our neice Becca said
Grant pooped on the ground!

Poor girl!! AWFUL! She deserves a prize-
Who knows if she will babysitt again!

And the boys have been in big boy beds for a week now. If they nap in the day-up till 10-11!!! WHAT! NO way...
If they don't nap right to sleep at 7:00....except for the times when clark falls asleep on the couch at 5:00.
I'm ready for a new week....please

Here are some images from google from the show....highlight of my week!!

Big kids-girls turn 6 and boys into big boy beds

Our sweet girls turned 6 this Monday! And it just so happened that they had the day off from school-sweet! We decided to invite our 2 best girls to go to Makutu's Island for the day and then have family over for desert that night. Up top is their door decorated for their day.

Their first doll house...it's a little smaller than I envisioned but they love it-and their barbies kinda fit?
 Avery, Abigail, Audree & Olivia

The boys spent the day with dad-Clark was all tuckered out when we came home. This is RARE...our kids don't fall asleep anywhere but their beds

Audree requested chessecake-why yes! The no cook kind:)

Sprinkle cake for Olivia

Next-the boys have some new best buddies-our twin neighbors Cash and Walker! They love playing with buddies-they don't know which name goes with which-so they just say, "Cashandwalker" All one word, when revering to either of them...cute things.

We had some left over carpet from our new shop and the boys built a race track...

Lastly-phase 1 of our boys growing up- They turn 3 soon and have been in cribs now this whole time with tents. Phase 2 and 3 potty training and getting rid of binkies will come soon. Grant has been climbing out of his crib for the past few nights-we don't want him to hurt himself-so tonight was the night for big boy beds!
It was like a party tonight-everyone was so excited about the boys moving to beds! The girls made such a big deal about it.

Let's hope I survive-these almost 3 year olds are about to put me into a mental institution!

New years holiday

We had a lovely break with family and fun! For New Years my nieced Chloe was getting blessed so we had the Davis family in town with us. Also my sister Janiel and her cute kiddos spent a few days with us as well. She and her kids had been to the Phx zoo so off we went!

Don't you love this Grantie Boy!!! What a crack up....

After our fun filled family time we spent a few days camping in the desert. I am not a camper girl-but slowly and surely I am finding my love for the outdoors. We have a new toy hauler camper and borrowed some 2 seater Polaris Razors and went on two 3 hour rides. I must admit that the desert was beautiful! We found some petrogphyls and had a picnic too.

They LOVED riding...

Donuts for breakfast
