Choo Choo...A night at the train park

For FHE 2 weeks ago we headed out to Scottsdale Train Park for a perfect evening of exploring, trains, and cool weather. Spring is so beautiful, and we have been trying to be outside as much as we can these days. We haven't been to this park since the girls 3 birthday and I knew that the boys would LOVE it!
And there are so many picturesque places there...I was in heaven with the locations, except that my kids wanted to play and not stand still for pictures :)

Notice Grant...all the pics had him diggin for treasure in his nose

This is Clark saying "TRAIN!" What a face

There were tons of these little guys around...the boys kept chasing after them

Our cute cousin Collin met us there and played with us

These girls...what faces

And I just had to put this pic in of our cute multiple friends. This is my dear friend Angie with her 2 sets that I watched the other day.....lunch was hilarious...All the kids wanted something at the same time, so many voices and requests....imagine my life with 2 sets of quads!!

The Last Day of our 20's

A friend just said to me, "So how does it feel to be living the last day of  your 20's?" And it hit me...woah! The 20's are over!  I got a little misty this evening looking through old pics and remembering what has happened to me in the past decade.

The past 10 years I have loved and lost, found myself, strengthened my testimony and found my Savior, graduated from College, was married and sealed to the most amazing man anyone could ever ask for, bought our first home, taught first grade, became a mother for the first time and fell in love with my babies, was shocked to become a mother of twins again, and have found Joy in the Journey along the way. If the next 10 years is anything like the last 10 years I say "Bring it On!"

Here we are on the night Doug proposed at his Brother's house. We had a four course dinner and the ring was hidden in a fortune cookie. And our sweet nieces sang, "Catch a falling star."

So much to be grateful for, good health, a knowledge of the plan of happiness, great friends and a happy family.

I can't wait to see what comes next!

Twin Moments

No pictures in this post just thoughts that I want to remember...2 stories

Tonight at Chick-fil-a I overheard a cute conversation. There were 2 other sisters playing in the play place with us. Olivia who is usually more dominant walked up to the girls and said,
"Hi, my name's Olivia and this is Audree. We are twins. That means that we live in the same place and have the same birthday.
Audree piped in with, "Yah, we are Ca-gu-ternal twins...are you identical twins?"
The older sister replied, no we are sisters.
Audree said, "We are sisters too."

I just sat there and smiled....Ca-gu-ternal twins...well almost.  The girls have also been doing a sweet little cheer around the house these days...they probably got it from one of their Barbie movies...
"Best friends, today, tomorrow and always." I want to vinyl letter it in their room...awww.

The boys nursery leader told me a cute story about the boys on Sunday.
I have the boys in separate nursery classes. It works well for us. The nursery classes rotate every 15 minutes to break up the time. Music time, lesson time, snack time, etc.
Well Grant was standing in the hall waiting with his class to go to the next rotation. Clark came out with his class and they saw each other....Grant yelled out "Broder!!!(brother) and they ran to each other and hugged.

It's little moments like these that I want to remember...

Easter Happenings -ETA...few more pics on the bottom

Past Monday we had a FHE on the resurrection and dyed eggs. These days, any task we do with the brothers is quite the event. We made it through the lesson and only ended up with a little dye on the floor.

I love nights together with family. And tonight Audree sang and Easter song and recited the whole story of the resurrection. I guess family home evening and Primary works...even when you think otherwise.

The girls have the best Preschool teacher and she planned the BEST field trip. Amanda watched the boys so I could enjoy some girl time at Yogurt Kingdom and Barro's Pizza...yum. We got to go in the back of both stores and see behind the scenes. It was also really fun to chat with the other parents and get to know them.

Yogurt Kingdom was DELISH. Mind you I think my yogurt was the fattiest one they had...but mmmm-mmm.
Here's there class and some of the siblings...

Right next door is Barros' Pizza. My FAVORITE pizza joint. We watched them make dough and the kiddies even got to create their own pizza!

We had a great time on Friday with our ward friends at an egg hunt at the park. The weather was perfect and the playdate ending with the sprinklers turning on and the kiddos getting wet!

Notice the adorable baskets....can you guess who made them? Not me....Creative Grandma Udall! I had one just like it as a child.

Cute friend Avery...

The boys didn't quite get it...they would find one and just plop down and eat what was in the egg....cute things. Grant LOVED the sugar.

 Cute little faces...

Here we are in our Easter best outside our humble abode. We hope to get a bigger home for our family this year and this home has been so good to us. So many happy memories here.

Easter morning joy...new barbies!

The Easter loot

Fun new toys

And rats I forgot my camera. We had lovely evening in my Aunt's backyard having an egg hunt and playing with real bunnies eating an Easter feast. It was a perfect evening.
So much to be grateful for. My Savior lives and loves me...

Boys

I need to take more pics of everyday stuff at home. My goal is to keep my camera out in the living room so I can capture our day to day moments. Clark is sure a talked boy these days and loves hats, shoes, glasses and tools. My favorite saying as of late is when he asks "What?"

These sweet boys sure love to snuggle. I want to soak up all the moments of cute two year old arms around my neck. Poor Grant has had some tummy bug and been extra clingy. Today after a quick trip to the store he had a blowout in the car and then when I put him inside to get in the bath he snuck in the girls room and went in there! Ack! Lots of Poop to clean up at our house.
After my photoshoot this evening I sat and held my two big boys...read them books and kissed their cheeks. I am very blessed.

You like how I had to crop out all of the junk in the background? Do the best you can right?

Thoughts about Summer...

(Long winded ramblings below)

Ok....summer is fast approaching and I am having some aniexty/depression about tending to my little ones with the hot long summer days ahead. The past 2 summer we have had our wonderful friend come and stay with us, but we need to save money for a bigger house and let's face it, this house is just too small for one more body.

Here's how it goes down, I wake up and feel so grateful to be a Mommy. Get the house cleaned up, start some laundry, read a book, play with toys, kiss and snuggle the sweeties, yadda yadda. And then the afternoon rolls around and I turn into the Witchmyster. And then I start to complain, the kids get fussy, dinner is something frozen and I loose my patience. So I call Doug around 4:00 to find out when he will be home. Most days it is not until after the kids go to bed. This guy works like 15-18 hours days to provide us with a wonderful living. In the winter I get so used to all his help and then when I don't have it I start to whine.

This past week I took a closer look and watched Doug run his business, and let's just say I am very impressed. He is honest patient, and good to his employees and his customers and he doesn't need the added stress of a Witchy wife complaining about every timeout and problem that I face. Instead I need to complain/vent to my girlfriends. Ladies sorry if I am too much but phew a girls gotta talk to keep sane.

So....I have some goals. And I need your help...I need to go on outings. All my local friends call me!!! And I will be calling you. We have a zoo memebership and Museum for Youth membership...I need to use these.
Another goal, I am SUCH a better mom when I pray and read my scrips. No more getting on the computer until I have read for the day. Plus I feel the added strength each day when I take the time to pray in the morning.

And my all time favorite, I NEED no Have to work out. I am chubba-lubba, which makes me more depressed and I yell more, more tired, and more addicted to my diet coke. When I exercise I am a more patient, level headed lady.

And if any of you hear of fun, cheap/free stuff please let me know!!! I gotta do something to keep me sane!

Phew...how's that for honesty? And it got hot this week...here we are splashing in the heaven backyard sprinkler...
