Davis Family Campout 2011

This year for the Annual Davis family Campout we headed up to Showlow to Fools Hollow Lake. Our favorite Mt. Graham was closed....we had a safe and fabulous time! Some highlights were, cooking and cleaning up only one meal,(we take turns), watching the kids at the lake, playing games, sleeping in the cool camper, catching up with people we never see, squirt gun wars, going into town to see Cars 2, yummy food, cooler temps, and being with our favorite people!

I am too lazy to organize the pictures-so here you go..out of order
This was the boys favorite spot-throwing a rock on the river bank....hours of fun
Brave fishergirls-so glad we had some cute Dogs to entertain us!

 We love Grammy and Papa

Our view of the lake-it was fun to have a lake so close!

 Camping=Relaxing
 And dirty faces....

Camping is games with cousins
This campsite has a cool old play set...such fun for the sweeties

Feeling brave swimming in the lake
 More lake moments

Squirt gun wars with Grammy and cousins- a great way to cool off! Notice Olivia squirting up Grammies shirt! BAHA!

I shouldn't even share this-I look quite the sight-3 days with no shower. Here is our Eternal Davis family after a sweet spiritual thought by Grammy-We love our Family

Grandma's house is Fun-So is Les Miserables

2 Weeks ago we headed to lovely Thatcher to my Mom and Dad's house for the week. She just bought a new home and we wanted to help her move in and get settled. We also spend the week at the "Do-Jo" learning karate at college for kids camp. What a fun thing to look forward to every day. The girls had a  great time and I think we will go back every year, the boys were sad that they couldn't participate. We also went to the movies, played with cousins, ate at our Favorite hometown restaurants...it was a great week!
Here are my girls with some of my Cousin's children. So crazy....and dang cute

Keee-ya! Learning the moves...

Cousins and Sensay Jones...:)

We came back up to Mesa and spent a fun filled weekend all together as an extended family. My parents bought us tickets to the fabulous Les Mis and we enjoying a night at Gammage. We were almost in the last row on the highest balcony, but my little camera and crappy lens took these pics....not to bad huh? I looked through the camera to get a closer look at the actors for most of the play. The music was incredible.

Here we are! With my Mom's adorable sister Aunt Karla. I wish we were closer...she is so beautiful and sweet.
"God on High hear my prayer....In my need you have always been there."

Bop to the Top-Dance Recital

The girls have such a great time each week at Miss Laura's Dance class. We love her so and are happy that she is our cousin and we get to see her outside of class. The girls had their big recital on stage a few weeks ago...I think I smiled the whole time. Little 3,4 and 5 year olds on stage do the CUTEST things...I loved watching all of their cute moves.

The girls were so excited to wear makeup...just like Mom. Can someone tell me they went a grew up on me?

Such lovely ladies

The didn't miss a beat. Although by the time the performance started Olivia had smeared her mascara everywhere...oops. And the headband stained their forehead...funny things.

Here's our cute cousins Laura and Sarah...

Our little group. My sister's sweet friend bought the girls flowers too...awww. And our Regiane came down just to watch the girls and Aunt Allie came to support the girls as well. So much LOVE!

We hope we can keep up with Miss Laura's fun!

Memorial day adventures...Exploring Arizona

I am too lazy to make collages so you get all the pics in their big glory...sorry about that)

For Memorial Day the weather was incredible...mid 80's for May is CRAZY talk. Doug is getting quite fed up with all this dreamy weather us Arizonain's have been having, but I secretly love it. So when Doug didn't have to work I said, "We need to do something outside!!" Facebook to the rescue. I asked my lovely friends on Fb for suggestions, and many said that the Boyce Thompson Arboretum in Superior was a fun thing to do. I have drove past this place a million times and always wanted to stop and I am so glad we did! It was like a beautiful Garden of Eden in our desert.

We saw jackrabbits, butterflies, and many lizards. The kids were in heaven....

I thought that it would just be desert plants, but there were so many different types of plant life. All labeled and beautiful!

They had a little childrens area that we spent some time in...really pretty...

Boyce Thompson bought the property in the 1930's and some of the original buildings were standing still...

 Spring blooms

Here are the sweeties next to the garden...
They had an amazing herb garden. The mint leaves and lemon leaves were so divine...makes me wish I was domestic and had a garden...

Ahh....what a cool place to explore! And almost right in our backyard.
We headed on the down the road a few miles to another place we have heard about for years. They make some dang good tortillas, fresh daily with no preservatives.

The place was a little shady..I'm sure many health code violations weren't adhered too, but oh man....that was some good eats! Beans with lard yeah buddy....and chips and salsa.... The girls also had to go the bathroom in the "Lounge" and that was quite an adventure. There were some folks already getting their drink on at 12:30 in the afternoon.

We came home happy and tired and fed our ward missionaries and called it a day. What a happy day indeed!

End of May-Preschool Grads, SUPER man, and swim fun

Happy DAY! The girls are growing up...we sure do love Mrs. Katie's preschool and the girls have passed a milestone and graduated from preschool....tada!! The girls said recited some poems, sang some songs and got their diploma's...awww.

We sure do love Katie....

These little girls were a little to close to their friend Brennan...poor guy..also can you tell the Caps for Sale in the bottom 2 pics?

Ok...here's a cute Mommy moment.
One day Clark came to me and said ..."SUPER-Maaan!" He brought me a blanket and wanted me to put it on. We have never even watched anything Superman related...but little boys with be boys. So we had a superman morning. We jumped off the couch and piano bench in capes and I had to snap a few.

And doesn't this just scream summer fun? Cousins eating watermelon after a swim...ah....how lucky we are to have cousins around.
