It's A Miracle....Our family pics

Being a photographer and having your family photographed is not easy. Especially when you have 4 children under 3. My amazing and talented friend Micaela http://www.yourphotosbyme.blogspot.com/ took on the task of taking our family pictures. Little did she know what she was in for. Getting twin 8 month olds to look your way is quite a feat. And then add in some sassy have a mind of their own 3 year olds and it is an absolute nightmare. Oh and don't forget the pycho mother who told my friend exactly how to shoot. I was every photographers worst nightmare (It's something I am not proud of)
In hindsight I don't know why I didn't just bring a helper along....duh! By the end Micaela and I were both done and of course so were the kids. Sorting through them the first time all I saw was this.....

But upon further looking I found so many sweet little gems that I can't wait to hang big on my wall.

Micaela...thank you for putting up with this crazy overwhelmed twin mom. We got so many cute ones and I will always be grateful to you for your talent and patience. I love that you captured my family and it's insanity.

So here you go...these are my favorites out of the 800+ pictures. I am saving the best one for the Christmas cards....oh the suspense!! It is seriously lovely and I just ordered a huge canvas for my wall...

Thanksgiving Traditions

Thanksgiving is always spent in Thatcher with our families. This year we had steak, ribs and potatoes for our Thanksgiving feast...it was awesome! Friday was spent with Doug's family for their Thanksgiving dinner. We sure do love all of our families. We feel so blessed to be close enough to visit both sides.

Can you believe I didn't take picture until the last day? Here are the kiddos putting up the tree. It has always been a tradition in our house to listen to the "Avon Classics Christmas" and hang our ornaments on the tree. Everytime you hang an ornament you have to say something that you are thankful for. The girls listed off some cute things. Audree kept saying "I am thankful for my mom and dad who love me so much"....little sweetie. The boys loved all the attention and new toys.
We can't wait to go back for Christmas!

Why I Blog....my online scrapbook

http://tomorrowsmemoriestoday.blogspot.com/

I had a friend ask me the other day..."How do you make time to blog?" "You blog about everything!" To me my blog is my scrapbook/journal. Pictures and thoughts I want remembered I write in my blog. I printed out my blog 2 years ago in 2007 and loved it. It took alot of time to put the book together, but it is so worth it. The girls love to look at the books and remember the things they have done.

I just got my 2008 book back from my awesome friend Tawni. She did such an awesome job putting the layout together. If you don't want to take the time to make one of your own...hire her! You won't be dissapointed!

So that's why the swings are like that

Have you ever gone to the park and wondered why the baby swing has 4 holes? I have the answer!! So the cutest little twin babies can swing with their brother or sister. The boys love to swing and I love taking them to play at the park. On this day I took my camera to capture their 8 month old sweetness...Aren't they the cutest?

And just because it is my blog....(I know you are probably totally sick of seeing the twin comparison)
Here are the girls when they were 9 months....little puddin pies!

Preschool Field Trip

The girls have loved being in Miss Katie's preschool class this year. She is a wonderful teacher and a patient woman. They have been studying about fire safety and so we took a trip to our local fire house. The girls love listened to our tour guide, Fireman Dan and weren't afraid of all the crazy things that the firehouse has. O said her favorite part were the big tires and A said that she loved going inside the firetruck.

Don't they look so big?

2 days......2 concerts

This post is all about me(sorry for the lack of pictures of my cutie pies...I am sure I will be posting more about them soon)

This weekend was a whirlwind of fun!! Friday I went to the "So you think you can dance" concert with the Davis ladies. We went to Olive Garden before and had a great time singing and screaming at the concert.
I swear I am going blind the older I get and the more kids I have. I wish I would have brought my binoculars but found that my mega zoom lens gave me an upclose shot of all the action. And my finger just kept clicking! I took over 600 pics of the dancers and loved getting fun action shots...

These are some of my favorite ladies...I love my sister in laws, neices and mother in law!

The next day I hopped on a early flight with my cute sisters to Utah to go and see our brother in the BYU singers concert. We had a great time laughing, singing and enjoying each other. The best part was that it snowed! BYU is such a special place and I am glad Chris is getting to experiance it. The concert was awesome and beautiful....we were so proud. Going to singles ward was a little strange...I haven't been able to listen to the speakers that well in a while. Doug held down the fort, and did a great job. What a relaxing me weekend!

Here is Chris's cute apartment...and us on the flight. The fall leaves were incredible...I kind of wish we had seasons...

Before the concert we got together with cousins and neices from all sides of the family. We ate at Cafe Rio and then enjoyed the breathtaking sounds of the singers...

We went to Temple square on Sunday. I made Chris take a mock engagment picture with me...don't you love my ring and his GQ face?

The Provo temple on the right is where our parents were married. We thought it would be fun to stop there and take a picture in front of it.

A whole week of Haloween

The week of Haloween was full of fun festivities. It started out the week before at a costume party at our great friends the Zitos. I swiped these from her fabulous blog...(check it out the side bar for all the fun details)
Doug and I went as a Redneck couple...we bought a few wigs, and went to Goodwill and Doug's closet for out amazing attire. We had a great night of food games a ton of laughs....(and a few of my classy nose snorts)

The whole crew!

Our groovy hosts...Loree knows how to throw a party!

We then went Mother Natures farm for FHE on Monday. We have been 2 years in a row now and I think this will be our fall family tradition. The girls love the hay ride and feeding the animals. And of course choosing a pumpkin.

If any of you have met my mother you know that she is crafty queen! She helped me make hand sew these outfits for the babies...I think this is the last year I can tell the girls what I want them to be for Haloween. Don't they all just look great?
We took some pictures in the garage on Saturday and walked up and down our street and then passed out candy to the neighbors. What a fun and festive busy week eh?
