April Catch Up

Last week I got a call from the school nurse saying that Audree was in her office, feeling pretty bad after tripping and bonking her face on a metal step. Poor girl got her mother's grace, and is a little klutzy. I loaded up the boys and went down to the school and my heart sank. Poor baby in pain...made my stomach turn. We brought her home and took it easy the rest of the day and also took her to the dentist because her permanent front tooth was wiggling.
She is such an easy going smart, loving girl, it just broke my heart to see her hurting.

The inside of her mouth look awful! Cut up and bruised pretty bad...it healed quickly but boy it looked sad.

In Mitters news, he sure has an opinion about food these days. He doesn't like to be spoon fed baby food and grunts and screams in protest. He likes grown up food and he likes to do it himself.

He is also scooting around like a crazy kid. He loves being able to get what he wants

We took the boat out the other day when the girls had a half day...it sure is fun! The kids love the inner tube, and the wind in their faces. It was Emmett's first time and he loved it too except for the vest was a little too squishy by his face.

Little love napping on Mom...awww...

He even got in and was splashing around so happy! And it was COLD! That's a water boy for you...

Doug had a campout the other night so we had a sleepover in Mom's room! I only slept about 4 hours but the kids sure had a great time.

The boys had a field trip to the PHX children's museum...Man that place is AWESOME! I wish it wasn't so far and so expensive...

On a whim one day we decided to take the boys to school and eat lunch with our girlies. They sure loved it. I'm so grateful for these monkeys...

Lastly our favorite Aunt Alayne came and babysat the other night and brought a picnic and dollar store toys. My kids adore her and were in HEAVEN

Easter Weekend and Boy's 1st friend party

These rowdy, energetic boys were able to have a friend party this year. It was low key and full of burps, yelling, toots, and loudness. We had a super hero theme and the boys loved helping me plan and prepare for their party.

I sure do love these boys

I was going to buy a cake but just ended up making this one last minute.

I tried to get the boys to do an obstacle course but they could have cared less...it was funny! So they just ran around, swang, jumped on the tramp, and played.
This dude was in full party mode-he wanted to be inside playing with his new toy that Grandma and brought him that day. He cried for about 45 minutes of the 1.5 hour party...bless that boy.

We missed our cousin Simon- but here are our friend Cash, Walker and Quade.

We enjoyed a beautiful Easter Sunday-I loved playing the hymns on the organ and singing with the choir and praying.

(I promise I'm not flicking Grant...just trying to get the boys hands down...)
We had our dearest friends Dave and Jessica over with their kids for a scrumptious dinner and egg hunt.

First time sitting in the grass.....he doesn't quite know what the think....

Spring break 2013

The girls have a full 2 weeks off from school and we had a fun filled break. We started off our break with a blizzard, no electricity,  the stomach bug and a trip to the E. R. for Emmett. Needless to say it was an adventure.  There was a huge storm up North so our trip was postponed for a day and we made our way up there in Doug's truck.  We got stuck right but thankfully it was right by the cabin.

We went up to the cabin with 4 families including our friends that we vacationed with last spring break, the Johnson's. It is was a gorgeous cabin....

It is perfect to go play in the snow and then come get warm inside...

Don't the girls look so adorable and grown up?

The best part of vacationing with friends is the games!!! I love playing games

 Little Ray of Sunshine...precious boy....

This is the only picture I have of Grant...he only went out in the snow once when I made him...and then I didn't even get a good picture.

Lots of fresh snow...like 3 feet of it!

Another great feature of this cabin is the jaccuzi! Get cold and then get warmed up...

The boys get their birthday on spring break...lucky guys! We made a cake and are throwing a party tomorrow...

The second night there I set Emmett down on the floor for just a second and Olivia tried to roll him over and tweaked his arm. He was in so much pain!!! Crying and not able to be consoled. So at 10:30 that night we made the trek to the Payson hospital 1 hour away with icy road and low visibility. I weeped and prayed the whole drive. Once we got to the E. R. all the crazies were out and our experience there was quite hilarious. The dr came him and listened to our story briefly and then felt his arm and pop! Put his elbow back in his socket...the crying stopped and he reached for a toy. It's called nurse maids elbows and happens alot. We were so relieved it wasn't something more serious. And so happy Emmett was back to himself.

As we were packing up to go my friends twins were complaining of their tummies hurting, not 5 minutes later driving down the road did they start to throw up. And about 1 hour later our Audree polietly lost her lunch in a cup and it was all down hill from there. All 5 of my friends kids had the bug and everyone but Olivia and Emmett got it at our house. I HATE the tummy bug, give me colds, fevers, ear infections, but the bug...its the worst. Thankfully it didn't last too long but it sure started our break off on a sour note.

Here are some cell phone pics from the rest of our spring break adventures... We had advetures at kids club with our cousins, we had swim parties, went to Rawhide and danced to a live band during dinner, and drove to Tucson to go to the Reid Park Zoo. So fun! We went to the library, got snow cones and slushies, cut the boys hair,  watched movies and went to the theaters and saw the Croods. We also had a great time at the Easter pageant even though my eyes and throat swelled up because of allergies. The girls LOVED talking and hugging all the cast members.
