End of the Trip....Jelly Belly Factory & Knotts Berry Farm

Monday morning we woke up and took the kids to Mcdonalds for breakfast while Doug took the RV in to get a 2nd opinion. Our fears were confirmed....a new transmission. Thankfully the guy could get the part in the day and could fix it that day. So off to Jelly Belly factory we went while the nice guy fixed our beloved RV....We had a good time there...Clark was fussy and fell asleep during the tour. We had Jelly bean shaped pizza and hot dogs for lunch and bought some jelly belly's to bring home...yum...

We went off the freeway and rode up and down some steep hills...what a ride!! I can't imagine living in that city and parking on the side of the road

We picked up the Rv that evening and heading on the down the road to Aniheim...We got there about midnight...sigh...Doug did such a great job of getting us there safe. I even showered while we drove down the road...funny!

The next day we met our friends Eric and Alicia(they were there picking up a work truck for Doug's business) and our cute cousin Matt who is famous and lives in Hollywood.

Knotts was FUN!! I did miss a little of that Disney land magic, but for $200 to get 5 adults and 2 kids in...it felt magical in other ways!

We spent most of the time in the Snoopyland...they had a great variety of rides for little ones. And the girls were big enough to go on some roller coasters too! They loved the Log ride....wish I had some pics of that...

We also rode on a real train...Grant was in heaven...

Clark napped in the Rv in the afternoon while we walked right on every ride...we went on some fast and scary stuff with the girls but they were brave...

Don't you love the little posers?

Here is our whole group!! What a fun day we had...we ended the day at Claim Jumper for dinner...yum! Spent the night there and drove home the next day...ahhh....it felt good to be home safe and sound!

There you go...RV vacation 2011 what a party!

San Fran Zoo

I can't remember what day this was....but I better get this vacation blogged before I forget everything.
We spent Sunday at the beautiful Zoo and had a great time there. It was a drizzly, overcast day and it rained on and off, but we made the best of it. The best thing about this zoo is that you could see the animals close up....what beautiful creations from our Heavenly Father. Also the landscaping was so green and lush that it made the experience even better.

Before we even got in the door Clark was already throwing a 2 year old meltdown, so we went and bought some leashes at the gift shop. They worked pretty well...you will see some pics later on of that.

First off we saw the Giraffes....what cool animals!

Everyone seemed to be hungry....doritos to the rescue

Next the gorillas...those were awesome

More animals

And making his blog Debut...Uncle Kevin!! He is such a good helper....here we are about to get on the train...
The boys discovered their new found love for trains....especially Grant...anytime he would hear it he would say, "Choo choo....melt my heart.

He was waving to the passerby's.

More details of the zoo

They had this great Lion House where all the lions were able to come inside and get fed while we watched...it was crazy to be so close to them...they are beautiful creatures.

We could have spent 2 days there...so much fun stuff to see...Here is a bunny. Audree wants a bunny so bad...maybe someday!

The boys in the petting zoo...I didn't get any pics of the sheep though...whoops. Notice the binkies...by this time of day the boys were D.O.N.E...binkies to the rescue. Clark was so sad to leave his tractor...

After a wet day at the zoo they quickly fell asleep...we thought we would take a little drive around Pacifica. It was Gorgeous!!

Dreamy...I need to print this to remind myself of the tranquility...

Another fun day....the thought of fixing the RV was looming over my head so I had a sour attitude at times. More on that in the next post!

Day 2-The fun continues

We awoke Saturday morning and thought well, let's just get the RV checked out just in case.We went and rented a mini-van and then took it to the only shop open on Saturday and our fears were confirmed. The transmission had gone bad in the Rv and it needed to be repaired. The mechanic explained that it could take a few days for the part to get in and that it would be allot of money. We decided to get a second opinion and waited until Monday and took the RV into another shop...

Meanwhile while the RV was being looked at we went and found a local playground to play. Our cute Uncle Kevin has an Iphone and it has helped us every single day. We found a park close by and had a lovely day playing the morning away.

Here are a few more shots from our RV park...

This guy was fun to watch and even offered us a ride:)

After we dropped the RV back off at the Rv park we took the van and headed down to the famous Pier 39.

We were having a nice little lunch outside the aquarium when a sea of white was coming towards us. Doug saw it first and said, "Turn the kids around....there are a bunch of nudists on bikes!!!!" WHAT!!! You didn't have to tell me twice. We told the girls to turn around and look at the flowers as I shielded their eyes. I was in shock! Here we had brought our family to this place for a family vacation and they are exposed to this! Doug came to the rescue and told them how he felt. He yelled at them and told them how pathetic they were, and that he couldn't believe that he had brought his family to the city of San Francisco.
Their reply, "Hey it's San Francisco...what do you expect?"
They should have been arrested, it was a Very public place...not a nude beach or anything...
It just left me with a sour taste in my mouth, and kind of put a bump into the trip for me...

Anyways...onto the day and the pics

We went to the Aquarium by the Bay and saw really great fish and marine life. The boys loved seeing all the "Bishies"

It was a fun aquarium and we were glad we went.

Then we went and explored the rest of the pier...

I guess these sea lions have been here for many years and just stay here. The kids loved watching them "Roar" at each other and it was quite a sight...

We also rode the carousel....O decided to ride the top deck, so no picture of her....

To finish off the day we decided to head the world famous Golden Gate Bridge. What a sight it was. We stopped for a few moments and snapped a few pictures.

Our little family....Thanks Kevin for snapping the picture...(P.S.Did I take many pictures with Kevin? Sorry you haven't made an appearance yet Kevin...)

There were so many cool houses...All stacked next to each other, 2 story with a garage underneath.  Sadly this is a pic from the car and the only one I got.

Next post...San Fran Zoo!! My favorite day yet!
